The selection and choices of wine at Church St. Winery is "top drawer" in our view with a great
selection at various price points. The service has always been friendly and welcoming and your
suggestions for new wines to try have been excellent.
We are looking forward to enjoying the holiday season this year with our most recent make of
"Chocolate Raspberry" port. We love being able to patronize a great and convenient local business.
Thanks for making our experiences so enjoyable.

I have been a Church Street Winery "regular" since 1996 - you were new to the area and so was I.
Entertaining is so easy when you always have a back-up of your wonderful wine in the cupboard - red -
white - port - "What's your pleasure" I serve it knowing my guests will always be pleased with the
product. Over the years I have sampled may varieties - none fail to please (but I do tend to find my
favourites). This year I can't wait to serve one of your new specialty Ports - Chocolate-Raspberry -
dessert in a glass! And dress the bottles up with a bow with tops to match your wonderful labels -
Christmas shopping done!
I often share the cost with a friend as we split batches on a regular basis - and I look forward to
our friendly banter as we bottle together - 20 minutes in and out (if we put labels on gift bottles
only at home) - what could be easier.

My wife, Jo-Ann, and I have been very satisfied clients of the Church Street Winery for over two
years. Although not snobbish about wine and certainly not connoisseurs, past experience did leave us
skeptical - to say the least – about “ Do-it-yourself” wine kits. With some trepidation, we put up
two whites – a Chenin Blanc and Pinoit Grigio – at Church Street Winery in the fall of 2006.

Wow!! What a revelation… We can happily report a revolution in kit wine quality and production over
the past 15 years. It also doesn’t hurt that Gunnar and Monika’s skills as wine makers are
prodigious. The quality and consistency of Church Street Winery wines – white and red – are
exceptional, and Gunnar’s award winning red blends are nothing short of remarkable for kit-based
wines. These wines are great value for money.
Enjoy courteous and friendly service as Gunnar and Monika share with you their extensive knowledge and
passion for wine and wine making. And don’t forget to say hello to Ben (… not that he’d let you
forget).

I'm not sure how long it's been since we first made wine with you, but it has been a good long time.
The quality of your product is always really high, and the prices (which aren't) mean that we can
make even more! As long as we are here, you can be certain that we'll be there regularly. After all,
where else could I possibly get great wine, great service and the chance to rub Benny's tummy for as
long as he wants?
Thanks, and see you soon.

Winemaking with Monika has always been a treat (for the last ten years!). From the moment of Ben’s
warm tail-wagging greeting, the anticipation of spending a brief, busy, productive hour or so with old
friends is set. Sampling the latest batch while bottling, it is easy to imagine that same wine after
a short few months of bottle aging, paired with your favourite foods. But the distraction doesn’t
last long, as the familiar routine of rinsing, bottling, labelling and capping proceeds quickly, and
is done before you know it.
We’re glad that the new location and Gunnar’s presence have given you the freedom to explore even more
ways to continue to impress your clients with what was already a great range of high quality wines.
The care and efficiency of the operation are such, that we have consistently been assured of the most
enjoyable results. Our only difficulty has been in trying to choose which new wines to make without
abandoning our much-loved familiars.

I met Monika several years ago – I walk my dog daily in Riverdale Park and saw her walking hers. When
I learned that her business overlapped my interest, I had to try out the wine making process and
product.
One try lead to another, and my husband and I have been satisfied customers ever since. The variety
of wines available is wonderful. There is a constant selection plus different ‘extra special’ ones
from time to time. Their record keeping is excellent – they know what we have bought in the past, and
what we like. They kindly remind us not to reorder the only one we were less enthusiastic about.
Church Street Winery is a pleasant spot to bottle your wine. Everything is ready for you when you
arrive. You spend less than an hour bottling your wine with Monika and have all the help you can
imagine loading 30 or 60 bottles of wine into the car.
A feature I still enjoy is meeting Monika and her dog in the park – where I receive friendship plus
reminders of when to order more.

I have had the Church Street Winery make Red wine and Port for me for a number of years.  I have tried other places as I moved over the years but I was not able to match the friendliness, skill and quality of the product that you folks provide.  I have followed your move from Church St. to Parliament because of the service you provide.  I hope that you, Gunnar and Ben are in business for many years to come.

Dear Gunnar and Monika,
My wife Linda and I, enjoyed very much the Port that you prepared for us. We served it as a pre-dinner drink and it is a real delight accompanied with blue cheese.Thank you for making this Port for us. Each drop was awesome. We are looking forward to to tasting the new batch.

My wife Daniella and I have been making wine at Church St. Winery for over 10 years now. Daniella, originally from France, knows her wine and both of us have thoroughly enjoyed the superior product, both white and red, that Church St Winery offers. We have passed this of to many of our friends, who themselves have become faithful customers. Monika and Gunnar, the owners have earned a reputation as to their incredible knowledge of fine wines and are on hand to give advice for each persons preference. The product is excellent and the price is very attractive.

"I started my first batch of wine when the Church St. Winery first opened it's doors in 1996.
After the first batch of Borolo I have made many more batches from different kits.
I have since moved out of the city but still return to the Church St. Winery to make my wines.
The quality has been consistently excellent. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and the premises are always spotlessly clean."
Always having a "cellar full" is perfect for rural living and picnics in the woods and fields.
